Local BCS Artist, ‘Tanko’ STEALS THE SHOW With Brand New EP, “THE TANKOVER”
Tanko is a rising star in the BCS music community. Aside from his influential beat producing for several artists such as Hotboy Wes, Lil Jairmy, OTB Fastlane, Yung Martez, and just about every big artist in BCS. Tanko also has a taste for making music for his own artisty. With the built credibility of producing for several great artists, it is safe to say that Tanko has now grown in his own right to fully understand what makes a song good, and what makes a song bad, and his brand new EP, ‘The Tankover’, is a great example of that.
‘The Tankover’ is Tanko’s brand new EP composing of 6 tracks total, (4 songs, 2 skits)
When listening to this EP, we quickly fell into the music and found ourselves feeling as if we were on this journey alongside Tanko, and the amazing features from No Lya Jay, Phranchize, and 611 Cage. The EP starts off with Tanko finding the right beat to kick stuff off, which immediately grabs your attention.
None of these songs sound the same, which is a GREAT thing. This EP shows off what Tanko is capable of, as well as leaving room for more and leaving you wanting to hear more of what Tanko can bring to the table. From rapping, to singing, and everything in between, every song on the EP is calculated and it shows.
The listening experience of this EP will not bore you, in fact, the Visionary Media crew is now eager to hear what Tanko will do next, and so should you.
Tanko has been locally growing his audience, with live performances at Downtown Bryan for First Friday, as well as building his online presence.
Here's his performance from the first Visionary Open Mic we hosted:
"This EP project is being released as a trailer for my upcoming concept project. It includes 4 tracks with 2 skits. Each song sounds completely different from the one before it, I hope to prove myself as a lyricist and as a recording artist from this release. My name is Tanko, born and raised in BCS and I am mostly known for my production for local acts, as well as working with artists from Houston and Florida. I take my craft very seriously, hoping to make music my full time career in the future," - Tanko
